Bose QuietComfort 35 Wireless Headphones Review

Bose QuietComfort 35

When the leading brand of noise-canceling headphones has chosen to come out with a wireless headphone, it is little wonder that everyone talks highly of Bose QuietComfort 35. Available in black or silver color, Bose QuietComfort 35 is a familiar design because it takes references from its wired predecessor.

Simple but Splendid Design

Although the design of Bose QuietComfort 35 looks simple, it is for a good reason. On each oval earcup, the Bose logo is well-placed in a way that does not draw too much attention. As the headband connecting the two earcups is well-padded, it allows for comfortable experience when you put on your head. Thanks to both cushion quality on the earcups and excellent weight distribution, you can wear this Bose headphones for hours without straining.

While the left earcup has a single 2.5mm jack for connecting the usual wired connection to your device, the right side contains a power slider, micro USB charging port, and volume buttons for a complete audio listening experience. Unlike its predecessor, Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones are compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

When you want to pair your Bose headphones, it works smoothly. All you need to do is just slide the power slider all the way to the right and it will put the headphones in pairing mode. Next, you can select them from your laptop or phone's Bluetooth menu. If your Android smartphone supports NFC pairing, you can connect your Bose headphones by putting them in pairing mode and tapping the back of your smartphone against them.

Another appealing feature about this Bose headphones is that they excel at switching between multiple connections. When your Bose headphones are connected to both laptop and smartphone, they have no problem switching between the two as you play music alternately from them. They also come with a microphone which enables them to be used as headset for making phone calls. In the microphone, you will be delighted to find the signature noise-canceling technology that works well to eliminate background noise. It works effectively despite not being placed near your mouth like most wired headphones.

Promising Performance

As you listen to your Bose headphones, their audio quality is best described as crisp and wonderful. They also do not sound flat like their other wireless headphones in the market. Talking about its soundstage, it is exceptionally broad. When you pair with a high-quality recording, the effect is simply marvelous; you can enjoy its immersive audio experience easily. In terms of bass quality, Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones roar with precision and power. They usually give appropriate amount of bass to the rhythm of the song.

The obvious standout feature of Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones is their noise-cancelling capability. Needless to say, they work so well, especially when cancelling out consistent low frequencies. From rumble and tussle of trains to high-pitch chatter, Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones can drown out them with ease; they even cancel out your own voice. They are superior to anything you can find in the market. For comparison purpose, they are as good as their wired predecessor, Bose QuietComfort 25.

However, it is essential to note that some people can be sensitive to the sensation of pressure that noise-cancellation applies on your eardrums. In other words, noise-cancelation headphones may not be suitable for them. If you are not familiar with the sensation, it is akin to being in a pressurized cabin. Once you get used to it, you will be able to focus on listening to your music instead of being distracted by the surroundings.

Incredible Staying Power

Bose QuietComfort 35 boasts battery life of 20 hours if used wirelessly. This is huge when you consider the fact that you will be using almost the entire day. Wherever you go, you do not have to worry about your headphones running out of power on halfway. If you plan to use as wired headphones, they will last about 40 hours. When you turn your Bose headphones on, they will give a short voice notification that tells how the devices are connected and how much battery is left. It is a useful information to have so that you can decide when to charge it.

If you still unsure why you need Bose QuietComfort 35, you must remember that they are the best result possible when merging noise-cancelling and wireless together. They offer the benefits of wireless headphones without their weaknesses.
