Hi,
Obviously this only reads SC/MMC cards, but upto what size of card. Will it read my 256 MB SD cards ?

There shouldn't be a problem reading your 256MB cards in the Belkin USB Media Reader/Writer.

You say his 256mb sd card will work bt will a 256mb mmc card work?

Yes, it reads both MMC and SD cards.
