I'm trying to connect my h2200 (running TomTom Navigator) to a Haicom GPS receiver with a serial cable. I keep getting an error message: "Cannot open COM1: Port does not exist". Any ideas??? (I run ActiveSync with a USB connection (or Bluetooth)). Best wishes: BenD

Turn off the infrared connection. Start->Settings->Connection->Beam->Clear the box. -- Michael - eXpansys

Thanks Michael, but no joy, I'm afraid. Still get "Cannot open COM1: Port does not exist" from the GPS module. Is there any way of configuring COM ports on the h2200? Does the iPAQ COM port need to be set to talk to the GPS receiver? (And what's the approptiate forum for this thread, please!) BenD

Solution found: disable the portable keyboard, which ties up COM1 if enabled. Phew.
