Hello guys I need your help please this is driving me crazy!!

So my father asked me to add a jazz tune for his cellphone as a ringtone...

So I took an MP3 file.... bit rate is less than 128kb/s

the song is in Multimedia, audio.. the cellular can play it... but when i click on edit it doesn't show me the option APPLY AS: ringtone...

It's driving me mad because it should allow me to put the song as a ringtone god damn it... i also tried other sounds THAT ARE NOT TRADEMARKS.... none of the files are trademarks and still the cellular refuses to put it as a ringtone.. it doesn't even show me the option apply as... please guys help me!!

Respectfully,

Nick

Can you confirm the phone model?

Motorola over the years have used differant formats for their ringtones, I want to confirm what format you need.

It looks like Rogers have some sort of MP3 restriction in place.

See this thread.

Try converting to polyphonic and see how you get on.

I tried to convert it to Midi earier today but still it didn't work.. plus the sound quality got awfully bad.

Anyways Yoni I would like to say seriously thank you for your time and help. AT LEAST I KNOW WHY IT'S NOT WORKING and that i'm not a degenerate who can't add a ringtone to a mobile phone.

I wish you a great week and a happy  Canada day! Well if you're Canadian like me!

Regards,

Nick
